Who is responsible
Onevia is operated by Jeremy Smith, who is the data controller for personal data collected through Onevia. This means Jeremy Smith decides how and why your data is used.
What we collect and why
- Account details (name, email, sign-in credentials, profile photo, preferences) — to create and run your account. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Tool data (what you enter into tools) — stored in your browser, and in your account when signed in, so your work is saved. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Purchase records (what you bought, amount, status) — to give you access to paid tools. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
- Usage and device data (pages opened, tool usage counts, IP address, browser type, error logs) — for security, fraud prevention, and improving Onevia. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
If you use AI features, the text you submit is sent to an AI provider to generate a response.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who host and run Onevia (cloud hosting, database, authentication, AI processing).
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for selling the product, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants.
- Authorities, where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep account and tool data while your account is active. When you delete your account or it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it, except purchase records we must keep for tax and legal reasons (usually up to 7 years).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete, or export your data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. We respond within one month.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, access controls, and private storage for profile photos.
Cookies and local storage
We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and save your tool data and settings. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear this storage in your browser settings, which will sign you out and remove unsaved work.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, using safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.
